Happy New Year Everyone! Can you believe it's 2011? 1/1/11!

We had a marvelous time at the party last night. Great food, lots of jokes & laughter, entertainment and I won some $$ and a bottle of wine in our bunco game! I'm still in shock over it...

I wanted to offer some money to the hostess for doing so much work in buying the food, preparing the dinner, cleaning up and hosting a wonderful party for all of us. It's always so awkward to try to give someone money, so how am I going to pull this one off? I thought to myself.

I could mail it in a thank you note? No, because that would be one more thing to add to my to-do list which I'm trying to shorten not increase. I'll just do it now I decided.

So as we were saying goodbye, I tried handing Miss J some cash which she wouldn't accept, just as I imagined. I really didn't want to take it back and I truly wanted to contribute toward everything they had done, so I ended up leaving it on their kitchen counter.

I hope that they will keep it or maybe use it toward their dinner tonight, because she mentioned they'd be going out. It was the least I could do. Plus, I won the money and wanted to share it!
