Dinner With My Brother C

This morning my brother C gave me a call to see if D and I could meet for dinner tonight. It was something we'd been planning to do over the holidays but hadn't picked an exact night, but this ended up to be perfect timing!

We met them at a nearby Korean restaurant and had a beautiful dinner. I say beautiful because it was just that. The food was laid out on the table looking like every color of the rainbow found its way into the dishes we were served. The conversation was intriguing and sweet. D got to meet my brother and I got to meet C's girlfriend. And, best of all, I got to see my brother who I haven't seen in over 3 years.

As we were finishing up our dinner, I sneaked off and paid the tab. I wanted to be sure I could treat the dinner and didn't want to have an argument when the bill came over who gets to pay. So this was simple!

When it was time to go, I said "We can leave now, we're all paid up."

"What do you mean?" They all asked, looking confused.

"I paid already." I answered.

"What?!! When did you do that? We didn't even notice. We thought you went to the restroom. You are so sneaky!" Were the comments that followed.

It was a great evening and I am looking forward to seeing them again when C comes back home in a couple months.
