The boy scouts came to our condo today to pick up Christmas trees for anyone who had one to dispose of. I hurried home from work, changed my clothes, then carried the tree downstairs which D had wrapped up in a plastic bag for me last night.
Keep in mind that our tree was only 4 feet tall or so and weighed about 20 pounds. It wasn't very tough to carry downstairs, so I don't want you thinking I was carrying some giant 8 ft tall tree down 12 stories and across the street! It was just a cute little mini tree.
I read that the boy scouts were accepting donations, so I gave them $10 as they took the tree.
"Thank you ma'am". The man said. "This will go toward new tents for the boys next summer."
"Oh that's great." I replied as I thank them for taking the trees.
Now it's time to clean up the pine needles!
