Happy Hour

Wednesday, April 6th 2011 I haven't seen my friend Miss J since September so we made plans to meet after work today for happy hour. When she arrived, I asked her how things were going and the first thing that came out of her mouth was that she'd just been laid off from her job. I instantly felt sorry and concerned, so she proceeded to tell me the details. We had a fun time otherwise and when the bill came I didn't hesitate to pick it up. It was surprisingly only $12, so it was manageable and she appreciated it. I know what it's like to be in her shoes, so I thought that would be a nice treat as others have done for me in the past.
